BURSARY FUNDING
Partnership
for Learning (P
f L) was founded not only to support businesses but to provide opportunities for local people in South Merseyside to be part of the area’s economic growth.
Our unique bursary programme, funded through the profits of P
f L’s commercial training business, provides free or subsidised learning and training opportunities for local people and voluntary organisations who might otherwise not be able to afford them.
Over the last 5 years we have re-invested over half a million pounds back into the local community in the form of free training. Through our partnership with local job centres and JET agencies, this has led to over 450 people finding employment.
The focus of P
f L’s bursary programme is to provide the skills training which:
- Directly supports people into employment
- Supports small local businesses and community groups
- Supports local voluntary action in the community
The specialist training Pf L has provided includes:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Drugs Awareness
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Green Card Food Industry Passport
- Welcome Host Certificate
- Improve Your Chances Of Getting The Job You Want
- You can also upgrade your numeracy and literacy skills with skills for life training
- Access hundreds of other learning opportunities in the PfL training portfolio
Subject to status and your location, bursary funding can be accessed by individuals, employment centres, local community groups and businesses.
