This year seems to be Speke's year for external award recognition! In febuary, they were successful in winning a Groundwork Merseyside Enviormental Award in respect of their £5Million Odour Abatement Facility. The Responsible Business Award criteria was "
for the company that can demostrate that it has successfull managed corporate social responsibility issues including the social, environmental and economic that they have on key stakeholders."
At the recent South Liverpool Business and Community Awards hosted at the Marriott South, Lilly Speke Operations won the category - Business Contribution to the Area. A great achievement for Lilly who have been based in the area for over 40 years.

Lilly is one of the UK's top pharmaceutical companies and in addition to the Lilly Speke bulk manufacturing facility, Lilly UK has a research and development centre, another manufacturing site and a distribution centre which exports medicines to all parts of the world."
